Senior Portfolio Manager - Wealth Management

Location: Boston, MA

Summary:

Through both personal and professional relationships, acquires and develops new high net worth and institutional relationships. The incumbent will work with wealth management professionals to develop a network of attorneys, accountants, and other centers of influence to build the Cambridge Trust brand in the greater Boston market. As the central wealth advisor to the Bank’s centers of influence, develops new client relationships that can benefit from one or more of the Banks’ wealth management services along with banking services, residential and commercial lending, and cash management. The primary role will be developing wealth management fee-based relationships while increasing the Bank’s visibility and reputation in the professional market.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains strong centers of influence (“COI”) network that can serve as referral network for potential prospects and new clients.
  • Identifies and develops new clients to build a relationship with goal of providing solutions for all of their wealth management needs.
  • Generates approximately $250M revenue for Wealth Management, along with Deposits, Residential Mortgage Lending, and Commercial loans.
  • As the central wealth advisor, ensures clients are receiving highest possible level of services and that all financial needs are being identified and addressed.
  • Proactively advises and consults with clients and prospects to present Cambridge Trust’s available financial services.
  • Closely monitors performance of client accounts to ensure accounts are behaving positively and meeting client needs. Maintains awareness of client’s goals, income, and spending to manage portfolio.
  • Performs additional duties, as needed to fulfill needs of the client and the organization

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
    • Minimum 10 years in financial services including experience with Wealth Management business development, portfolio and relationship management, fiduciary services and Private Banking.
    • Proven track record of working with high-net-worth individuals and families, privately held businesses, private partnerships, and non-profit organizations.
  • CFA, CFP or other professional designation a major plus.
  • Excellent business development, marketing, and client service skills.
  • Strong analytical, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability drive growth of the Wealth Management business.
  • Proven track record of developing new relationships with both centers of influence, potential clients, and referral sources.

  • Heavy keyboard use.
